~Cosmetic of the Week~

Got a hot date and can’t make it to the nail salon for a pedicure? Come on ladies we can’t be going on a date with dry rough heels!

Before you get in the shower remove your nail polish with pure acetone remover for a rapid removal. (Nail polish remover w/ moisturizer or non-acetone takes longer to remove polish, DO NOT USE pure acetone frequently only for a quick fix) Use a little battery operated nail drill w/ a cone looking drill bit. Go around the cuticles with the drill to remove overgrown cuticles, file toenails and get in the tub.

Keep in your shower an emergency pumice stone and pedisoak in your shower caddy. Don’t have time to fill a tub to soak? Keep the shower head going, take your shower as usual but plug the bath so you have a good amount of water filled up to soak your feet, while you shower. Squeeze a few drops of pedisoak in the water. After 5 minutes, grab your pumice stone and scrub your heels in a circular motion. Drain the tub complete your bath and run the faucet over your feet for a complete rinse and use a nail brush to thoroughly clean toe nails. Squeeze a few drops of cuticle oil on toenail cuticles. Use a towel and dry in your toes completely to prevent feet fungus! Spray toe nails w/ alcohol to remove any oil on toenails so nail polish stays on. Apply a basecoat then your polish, then topcoat, spray nail dryer and YOU’RE READY!!!! Your feet are ready for a day out, night out or a hot date coming over later!!!!! ☺

~Hair of the Week~

Got split ends? Stop trying to hold onto them! Cut them off! A trim is the only way to get rid of them. Invest in a hair treatment for split ends.

To prevent split ends:

Don't brush hair when it's wet, because that's when it is at its most vulnerable.

Cut down on hair dryers, straightening irons, crimpers, curling irons and hot curlers.

Buy a natural-bristle brush that won't pull on hair and ultimately break it off, causing a possible split end.

Wear a hat to minimize sun damage.

Use a shampoo that lists sunscreen as a major ingredient.

Condition after shampooing, and use a deep conditioner once a month.

Here’s what you will need to prevent split ends…

Sun Hats

Satin Pillowcases

Anti-chlorine Shampoos

Body-building Shampoos

Deep Conditioner

Hot Oil Treatments

Natural Bristle Hairbrush

Protein-based Shampoos

Sunscreen Shampoos for Normal Hair
