ABS-CBN launched their OBB(Opening Billborad) for Summer 2011 during ASAP Rocks Cebu yesterday. The theme for this year's OBB is "Be the Best as You can Be, Bida Best sa Tag-Araw", as you can see with the Sampaguita vendor who can be a Ballerina for example. Written by Love Rose de Leon and Nino Anglo, the song is performed by Star Power Grand winner Angeline Quinto with rapper J.O.L.O. ABS-CBN's Creative Communications Management never fails to impress their Kapamilya with their ideas and creative OBB's every year. Some of ABS-CBN's biggest stars were MIA in this video like John Lloyd Cruz, Piolo Pascual, Boy Abunda, Kris Aquino, Judy Ann Santos, Aga Muhlach and Sharon Cuneta. Even the Network's News division were not seen in this OBB. So I'm really sure that an extended version will be release to feature other stars. What I also like about this station ID is the "Jump" shot theme, makes me wanna have my Jump shot later! And the song is really catchy. Watch the video below and tell me, is this is the best summer station ID made by ABS-CBN?

The remake of this 1997 phenomenal hit will start this monday before TV Patrol. Last night,the full trailer was seen after "Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin". What I noticed about this remake is that they made the "back story" longer. They made the story line of Magda-Fernando-Selina-Cassandra longer and more interesting for the viewers. Wenn V. Deramas will once again direct this remake and that actually interest me. I also like the idea of Eula Valdez playing Selina and Dawn Zulueta as Magda. We also saw some shirtless Enrique Gil! This will mark the start of Lauren Youngs primetime stardom and JM de Guzman will level up his leading man status. Will you watch the pilot of "Mula sa Puso"?
Enrique Gil is one of the cuties I've been waiting to have a break and finally ABS-CBN is giving him not just one but two upcoming shows. After his short hosting job in the now defunct show "Shout out" he will grace prime time as Michael in the remake of "Mula sa Puso" he will share this limelight with Lauren Young and JM de Guzman. Enrique will also be featured in a dance-serye entitled "Good Vibes". Enrique Gil is one of the stars to watch out for and with his good looks, and with a little more work out, I'm sure we will see more of him not just on screen but on billboards as well. Do you think Enrique will make it far?

ABS-CBN's Kapamilya Gold teased us with two upcoming remakes that will surely dominates the afternoon block this 2011. In partnership with Televisa, the Kapamilya network once again paired Erich Gonzales and Enchong Dee (photo above) for a more sensual version of "Maria la del Barrio". On the other hand Lauren Young will be launch as a new face in drama as she lead the powerhouse casts of "Mula Sa Puso". JM deGuzman is Lauren's love interest in the remake of this 1997 phenomenal hit. Watch the teasers for both teleseryes below.
This 2011, ABS-CBN will power up "Hapontastic" with Kapamilya Gold. GMA 7 has been dominating the afternoon block for a while now and even though the Kapamilya network reigns the prime time slot, they want to heat up the competition and make every Kapamilya's afternoon shining with stars.

This is going to be exciting! I actually prefer this kind of remake instead of recycling koreanovelas, telenovelas etc. Mula sa Puso is one of ABS-CBN's phenomenally successful Teleserye. Mula sa Puso aired from 1997-1999 and this series made Claudine Barreto and the late Rico Yan's celebrity status on top of their generation. The series also made Princess Punzalan a primetime and unforgettable "kontrabida" as well as Wenn Deramas's big directorial break. Because of the success of "Mara Clara", ABS-CBN decides to remake "Mula sa Puso" and this generation of young stars will top billed this remake. Lauren Young will play Olivia "Via" Pereira/ Ella Peralta and JM deGuzman will play Gabriel Maglayon.
