Glee now has a competition! An upcoming musical/drama series will hit NBC this February and on 2nd Avenue in the Philippines, "Smash" is about a group of characters that will undergo lots of drama (and production numbers) while trying to put on a Broadway show about the life of Marilyn Monroe. Unlike Glee which is a musical/comedy and about a bunch of high schools, "Smash" is more dramatic and the characters are more mature. It's Experience versus Talent between the two girls who will battle it out to be Marilyn Monroe. From executive producer Steven Spielberg and top billed by American Idol alum Katharine Mcphee, "Smash" is one in'resting TV series to watch out for. It also stars Debra Messing (Will & Grace), Jack Davenport (Pirates Of The Caribbean), Megan Hilty (Wicked) and more. I now see a couple of Facebook pages supporting Team Gleeks and Team Smashers!
