The just concluded Awards Night of the 37th Metro Manila Film Festival as usual has controversies. Regal Films' "Yesterday, Today And Tomorrow" has been disqualified in major categories including Best Picture and Best Screenplay, Best Director and the Gatpuno Villegas Cultural Awards because, as MMFF executive chairman Francis Tolentino said, Regal Entertainment changes the pre-approved cast and storyline which is against the Festival's policy. But Mother Lily Monteverde said that they advised the committee about the changes. On the lighter side, the movie won the Best Actress trophy for Maricel Soriano. Whew!
